Hey guys and gals... I could use a little help here to figure out what's wrong with the kids.... I'll give you as much info as I have. I am using Nutes (twice now). I wasn't going to use nutes so early however early problems indicate that Coco does not have the necessary food for early plants. I chose Botanicare because it says it can be used on Seedlings. I used 1/4 tsp. to 1 qrt. of water (ph 5.7 to 5.9)
Strain: White Widow
Growing Medium: Hempy style - 1 qrt. containers - bottom half filled with hydroton pebbles, top half Coco. Each container has 2 drain holes one inch from bottom on opposite sides of container. Drain holes are 1/4" in size.
Containers were covered in duct tape to help keep light out.
Started in Float & Grow Starter Plugs.
Room temp consistent at 77 degrees
Water PH 5.7 - 5.9
Nutes - Botanicare Pro Blend.
OK.... pictures are attached. Descriptions are:
Pic. 1 - Plant 1, leaves contorting, new growth very light in color... almost yellow.
Pic. 2 - Plant 2, Slower growth starting to exhibit same leaf / color issues as plant 1
Pic. 3 - Plant 3, Much slower growth, new growth looking light in color
Pic. 4 - Label from Pro Blend Nutes showing nutrient levels and feeding recommendation
Pic. 5 - Label front of nutes - I put this up so you can see it indicates use with Coco.
Pic. 6 - An Excel spreadsheet I've been keeping with information to help me stay informed of where I'm at in the grow. (my version of a journal)
Lastly, the plants are each under their own 100 watt CFL. Lights are approx. 2 - 3 inches from plant tops. I put my hand on top of plants and there is only slight warmth.... NOT extreme heat. I do have a 400 watt MH but I don't want to use that until the plants get a little bigger. I killed the last 3 by using the MH too soon and too close. I'd like these babies to get a little more growth before I change to MH.
OK peeps.... that's all the info. I have.... or can think of to give. Any advice on why the leaves are looking cattywampus and so light in color and what I can do to correct?
nice, botanicare works really well. I am using it and am on week 7 of flowering. I use it every watering and have not burned my plants once! You will need some cal/mag as well to supplement whats in the pro grow, it didn't have enough cal/mg for my plants.

Thank you for the advice. I was reading one of my books and some other threads and thought I might need something for the MG. The book says I can use Epsom Salt to help..... but it says not to use the "supermarket" kind. Well... aside from wal-mart and home depot .... I don't have anywhere close I can go to find plant related stuff. Does anyone know if Home Depot or Wal-Mart carries epsom salt for plants? Or is it really ok to use the supermarket stuff?
