Default Dry plants

So swim has some plants growing. the plants are about 1 foot long at this point. Swim was very busy one day and it turned out to be a very sunny day. When swim got back home, most of the plant's leaves have turned brown and fallen over, except the leaves that are the tiniest right in the middle. The stem of the plants are still standing up straight. Swim realizes this is his fault for watering the plants in time. But now i need to know if these plants will be able to live through this travesty? will the green leaves on the top come out and everything will be ok?? Is there anything that can be done to increase the possiblity to get this to happen? Thanks in advance.

Plasma finds this be to be hurting.

So, long story short, yes, you can revive your plants. Prune of the fully dead branches, remove all dried up and useless leaves. Just leave healthy stalks and leaves. Initially, you should only use clean water to help the plant. Nutrients won't be metabolized properly by a half dead plant. You can safely go back to your nute regime when the plants look a bit healthier. Also, it is key you stick to your water schedule, not to wet and not dry, blah blah blah, you get the drill.

Good luck, also remember that starting over might still be a viable option.

Well 5 out of the 10 died that day. the 5 that i consider dead still have the main branch sticking up but they refuse to grow new leaves. I guess there isn't much i can do with the dead ones so i should just toss em huh?

Yep, either mulch them up or dispose of them quietly. Good luck with the other 5.
