my seedlings are under Sylvania sunsticks 5000k 40W. some of them are 5 inches tall and only have 1 1/2 true leaves!!! i took the advice from this site and lowered the lights to an inch above the plants and today i propped them up with twigs and have a fan goin on low to try to strenghthen them but they just wont grow leaves!!

ya, getting that light close/getting more light is all you can do.. also be careful on how strong you got that fan goin.. especially with seedling, giving them to much fan is like putten them into a hurricane

im bein careful, its not right on them its a little above them so they just get a slight breeze

Fuck the fan, at that age just gently move the stalk back and forth with your fingers for exercise!

what seems to be working for me is getting the plants right up to the lights... and inch or closer even. Then use a fan to keep them cool and give them a little exercise.. use a low setting or don't aim it directly on the plants if your worried about it being too strong.

The fan has definatley helped, no plants are leaning over anymore. how tall do they have to be before they can go outside?
