| | Hey MpgKush,
I just went down to my flower room and checked the PH, it is 8.4 - but here's the rub... I checked the PH in my veg room and it is 7.2 (which is acceptable I'd imagine). And the nukes in there is for Aggressive Growth.
Could the difference be the addition of the Kool Bloom? The nukes that I have added are all for the transitioning stage to flowering, so I am surprised that it shot up so high; so quickly.
I am baffled as to how this can happen in just a day. I wish I had kept a log of everything from a couple of summers ago when I last grew and had this problem.
Anyway, I corrected the PH and will run back down to lower the lights. How close do you think I should go?
Thanks again for helping!!!

Hey Dirtyboy,
I really hope that it was just the genes in that particular plant. I am growing White Widow (ofcourse) which I have grown before and AK99 that is new to me. I saw a thread a while ago where some guy grew AK99 and the beauties were as big as the guy's torso and 3 - 4 oz a piece. It was a White Widow that tanked on me. Got my fingers cross on the AK.
Gonna take your suggestion on letting the nuted water sit for a while and then checking the PH again.
Thanks as always!

MpgKush, I'm glad you're still online. Got a couple of quick questions for you, while I still have your ear.
- how low should the lights be?
- should the PH be lowered to 6.5 after adding the nukes to my water?
Thanks, you rock! |

| | What kind of lights are you using?
and your safe anywhere from 6-7 but i suggest 6.3-6.8 for best results and yes it should be between there after nutes are added |

| | I have 2 AgroStar setups - both 400w lights (1 MH and 1 HPS) - once I am really into production, the MH will be on the side of the room that has plants going into their final phase of flowering and the HPS on the opposite side with the new clones just starting to flower.
I read somewhere that MH increases bud production and I found this to be true that last time I grew. |

| | I wouldnt suggest putting the mh on the side you could burn your babies easier bc thye will shoot towards it. just run both the mh and hps up top and if u have some cfls put them on the side.
With all the new HPS bulbs out they are by far the best for flowering but an mh wouldnt hurt but it really doesnt make a big difference in yeild. |

| | I hadn't really thought about side lighting, but maybe I will go with a couple of shoplights on each wall - my flower room is 7' X 10' with 10' high ceiling, so side lighting might really help out my 2 - 400w lights. I only use the center of the room though so I can walk around and check on my babies. I have also been looking into a circular light mover for more efficiency. Oh by the way, no more plants have died on me so far. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
