cause the plant still needs nutes but because of the ph the nutes you were adding were just building up in the soil making your ph problem worse. so you flush to get all the built up salts and what not out then start fresh with soil with the right ph and the right nutes and the plant should respond.

I am having the same problem but i am growing Hydro. I am using Foxfarm nutes with Liquid Carma and SubCulture. I check my ph every morning and it is usually at 6.8 and i bring it down to 5.7-5.8 The ppm is at 1150 in veg stage. I have rust colored spots on some large fan leaves.

even after i flushed the soil with ph 6.2 water, the soil ph is still hovering around 7.1.

basic soil moisture/ph tester...stick it in the dirt....what do u suggest?

is it calibrated or does it even have a calibration on it? if it does that might be off, or your soil was way above 7 and it barley brought it down to 7. did you flush it right, if you didn't flush enough their still might be too much stuff in the soil.

in fact this is my second flushing in three months and i check my soil ph daily and its always hovered at 7 at best, 8 when theres some salt buildup...any suggestions??

yes it is calibrated...i flush with 6 - 7 gallons water (3gallon pots)....in fact under the best circumstances it hovers at 7.

damn. don't know what to tell you then other than try watering with a lower ph like 5.5 and see where that gets you.
