Default Plant went limp and when I removed a branch the was mold growing down the center.

I have an outdoor grown Acapulco Gold that recently had a main branch start twisting and going limp. I cut off the branch and noticed some black and gray mold growing right down the center of the branch. Was hoping that only the one branch was affected but now others are drooping. I assume the plant in current form is a loss, but was wondering if the new growth at the top and end of the main branches might be usable as cuttings and clones? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

dont think I would make clones out of a plant that is susceptible to mold .. specialy not if you plan on growing them out doors agin ..

how is your humidity ? if its high and its normal I would look for mold resistance straings and maybe even take precautions (get some of that Organic spray that can help keep em healthy .. dunno rino skin or what ever .. and give em a good root starter (kelp) to help them resist the brutal nature

make sure to protect them if you get heavy rain .. if that is normal .. dont plant them down in a "cup" .. make it up side down if you know what I mean .. so water run off the plant base insted of gathering ther ..
Take my advice !! ... I dont use it anyway ...

I'm with Slipon...go with mold resistant strains in areas of high humidity. U can also use a mix containing 1/2 part organic milk to 4 parts water or baking soda in water to reduce/eliminate mold on more susceptible strains when ur dead set on a more challenging task. I prefer low maintenance, high yielding strains as I've l seen many crops go to waste due to mold. Happy growin!
