a friend of mine is growing a few plants, maybe third week, and one has not produced any spear leaves, just its first two babies, and it's not progressing much....and wondering also, whats the best pot size to use for the complete growth cycle?

hydro. soil? lights? strain? need more info!

i'll tell you what the problem is mate , its roots have died.dig down a wee bit and see what colour the roots is about and inch down. if its brown then its dead. sometimes it happens.

no camera, in soil, part daylight,part weak lights......

this happened last year as well, it stayed green, and didnt grow for months!

so not sure about rooting.....

unsure of what strain. i believe mixed seeds.

all growing at different speeds.

2 germinated, sprouted and planted, growing slowest of all.

two planted directly into soil while contained in seeds, growing fast and look hopefull. however one is not developing leaves well, as its stem is just shooting straight up.....

unsure....

If the stem is shooting straight up, it sounds like its not getting enough light. This is probably the cause for the stunted growth as well. If you have CFLs, move them to within inches of the plant. Beef up you lighting my friend.
