Root rot?

Hello fellow growers!

Im currently growing one LSD and one Northren Lights and it all went good until a week ago. One of my plants (dont know wich strain is who) is showing some disturbing signs and i dont know what to do. First i thought that i was overwatering (even thou i just water every 2nd or 3rd day) so i left it without water for 4 days but this just made it worse. The Top of the plant looks fine as shown in the pictures but the bottom half is fucked up. The leaves are saggy, dry and is starting to turn yellow. I watered it this morning and it shows some sign of improvement but is far from the rest of the plant. So i dont think its underwatering and my PH level is 6.9.

The thing im worried about is root rot... I recently saw that alot of roots ar coming out of the bottom of the bucket. I didnt know what to do then so i just left it like that, but i guess the roots has been in alot of water for longer periods and that goes hand in hand with root rot, right? This is my first grow operation and im having difficulties identifying what the problem is so does anybody know if its root rot or something else? And if its root rot, what should i do? Is it a fair guess that the roots outside the basket is supporting the bottom half of the plant and that is why the plant looks healthy on the upper half?

My english is crappy so heres some pics;

Any ideas?

Its been flowering for almost 3 weeks and the temp is about 28-29 degrees and the bulb is about 25-30 cm away from the top (hps 400w)

Thanks in advance!

Btw, is it alright to cut the roots? I want to do it because they arent doing anything good outside the basket, but im afraid that i will kill the plant and that would haunt me for the rest of my life.

but if its rot i would cut them along as its not a main root also peroxide and water will help you battle root rot just go online and google it will tell you how to do it

The roots will die off themselves because they are sitting in the air...it is normal.

Hej guys! Thanks for the very quick reply :D

I shuved the roots back in their holes and have flushed the plant and removed some of the leaves that were dead. Now im just waiting for the rest of the water to pass thrue the soil and then i will give them very little nutrient (1/4 of the recommended dose) and pray to the smoke gods. Is this wise or should i skip the nutrients for a few days to let the plant recover?

Hello again! Back with new problems :(

Im using very little nutrient, adding biobizz bloom and grow once a week with 1/4 of the recommended dose. I noticed for a week ago that my plant had turn into light greenish and started to get yellow fan leaves so i added just ever so slightly more bioblizz grow and my plants started to freak out but im not sure if its because of that because the bottom half of the plant looks good (nutrient burn start from the bottom, right?) Mine just looks like shit with dark spots everyhere, especielly on the bud leaves. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves...

Hey man!

No, its not hydro. Im using soil for my plants. I guess you read my first post in this thread and that problem has been dealt with. My latest post in this thread shows my new problem with yellowing, burned bud leaves. This is the day i usually add more nut but i think im gonna skip the nutrients this time and just use water to see if it gets better. It may be hot spots also since i moved my fans. gonna adjust the lamp and se if it gets better.
