Default Soil borne disease/Soil dwelling bugs?? +rep for answers

newthang.jpgIdk what the fuck is going on here but it has been happening for about 2-3 weeks. All the plants that are in the ground seem to have soft and weak newer growth. I know it's not under/overwatering because I have a moisture meter and use it when I'm unsure. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this particular problem. It seems the stems are strong up until a certain point then they kinda just all look supercropped or something of that nature. Please help. Will +rep for good answers.

Yeah I don't think it is flowering yet because all my potted plants only have their stipules still.

Kinda looks like there is a invisible scrog screen because all the plants bend severely at the same point on all the tops. I don't have a problem with bugs, just ants and I used some Sevin dust from walmart that got rid of the those atm. I was thinking maybe it is root aphids eating my roots. but IDK

    Figured this out.....
Problem: The clay soil around the plants was soooo dry it was wicking all the moisture away from my plants.
Solution: Watered the entire area heavily with garden hose......after, I applied a thick layer of mulch.
