if your well is in a limestone or dolomite aquifer you could have extremely high PH going into extremely acid soil, and coming out just a little low on the acid side. PH your water, then compare to your runoff. if your well water is like 7.5 or higher, your soil could be more like a 5.8-6.0 on the PH scale which is pretty fucked up for dope.

private well water is even more variable than municipal water, have that shit checked. it could even be contaminated with toxic runoff or any of a variety of naturally occurring toxins (radon, sodium benzoate, sulfuric acid, alkaline salt deposits, elk turds, bum urine,, etc...)

10 PPM of what though. and PH is independant of PPM PH is all about unstable proton exchanges, and while plain pure water is reluctant to accept these proton exchanges it can happen when shit is fucked up enough.

ill spare you the science (cuz i can barely remember it anyhow) but water can be made acidic or alkaline with no detectable contaminants in it. ph your water before it goes into the purifier, and after. if it reads anything other than 7,0 after the purifier then you need to remember that when testing your runoff. if water goes in at 7, but comes out at 6.3 then your soil is probably a little lower than 6.3, more likely 6.0 or so. if the water is going in alkaline,, like 7.5 or so and coming out at 6.3 then your soil is fucked up (likely 5.8 or so from tannic acid caused by decomposing wood in the soil)

my well water's ph before RO system is 8 after the RO it is 7.0. when i 1st started to grow people told me ph your water to 6.0 so i went with that. now i find out that is not so good for a soil grow. now i need to fix the problem and all the advice you guys have given me has been a eye opener. when i put nuts in the ph drops to 5.4 so I use ph up. I would up it to 6.3,now my run off is 6.3 so you are probably right my soil is like 5.8 to 6.0. that was some deep shit about the water stuff,I liked it. so is there a quick fix? dolomite lime to bump up the soil ph

quick fixes dont solve systemic problems. if youre starting with PH 7 water, shoot for PH 7 runoff, and PH 7 soil. straight neutral is as good as it gets in soil for cannabis. it can lean down to 6.5 minimum, but any lower than 6.0 and your plant will just die.

in hydroponic solutions the target is 6.5, in soil thats only marginal. whoever said 6.0 in soil needs a stern talking to from the Weed Fairy.

dolomite up your soil, and keep the water and nutrient solutions at 7 even. watch your runoff PH, when it climbs up around 7, dont add any more dolomite. also, get a soil tester, they are cheap and very handy for anybody who plays in the dirt.

Well I thought I would give you guys a update on my yellowing problem. The problem was the tent I had my grow in was out gassing. What I did was take my plants out of the tent for a week just to see and low and behold, they recovered. Now I did nothing to them, but watered them that's it. I was using a aromax tent from htg. I read a thread on here about a guy that had a out gassing problem with his tent, he had the same one as me. That is why I tried the move just too see what would happen and bamm they came back to life. Now there was still some stunting done to my grow. They did not grow as tall as they should of,but hay I got something out of them at least. I did call htg and all they said is I should of done my researcher before I bought a tent from them,I know longer buy anything from them. So i do have some pic to show you guys that helped me out. I made a new grow room too and it is sweet, every thing is running009.jpg008.jpg010.jpg smooth right now.006.jpg005.jpg011.jpgHere are some pic of my new grow room too
