Of all the fungal health warnings we've been issued, PM has never been warned against in agriculture. Even as common as it is, PM has never been reported, nor had any warnings issued about it's safety. Ive never heard of powdery mildew having adverse effects on human health. In truth there are millions of types of fungus out there, and only a few are dangerous to your health even in large doses. Powdery Mildew is not one of those few dangerous ones.

cryptococcus,, aspergillus histoplasmosis etc.. but no powdery mildew, despite exposure being almost universal in agriculture, and very high in pot users. many people these days like to be cassandra and prophesy disaster at every turn, but if nobody has ever been diagnosed with powdery mildew in the lungs, you can be fairly confident that your dope can be washed before drying and smoked safely. the only remarks about health propblems from PM come from nervous pot-heads, not scientists, doctors or health professionals.

Jorge Cervantes and the medical field are with me on this one. im not suggesting that PM is a health tonic, nor should you roll up a powdery mildew doobie, but if treated with a thorough washing with H2O2 (like Jorge has done many times) and a proper drying in low humidity, dope with a PM infestation washed away can be safely smoked by anyone who is not an end stage aids patient or suffering from terminal emphysema. You may be smoking PM in your bong right now, and never know it.

You must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. You will face your fear. You will permit it to pass over you and through you. And when it has gone past you will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only you will remain.
Thanks for the info, have a place I trim from time to time and we joke about the the room having a blizzard here and there, bad infested buds are thrown into bho, I always hope that the tane destroys the spores... doubt it, but we can always hope...

powdery mildew can infest any area with plant carbs, high moisture and oxygen. if your trim room is a haven for PM then you should bleach the fuck out of it. if your buds are coming into the trim room with PM then the grow area needs to be sanitized, and new mother plants grown.

if any fruit packing house in the country had a powdery mildew problem it would be shut down as a health violation (not for PM but for the conditions that allow PM to flourish) any farmer who allowed PM to flourish in his fields or packing house would soon find himself without a market for his mouldy crop.

i hate powdery mildew, it's a sign that shit is going sideways, and it triggers an immediate response in me to find the problem and fix it. it's really not that dangerous though, by itself. powdery mildew may not be devastating to crops or human health, but it lives and thrives in the same conditions as Rose Rust Blight, Black Leg, Damping Off Fungus, Leaf Curl, and several toxic myconids. the dead foliar material killed by powdery mildew can even host botulism and other bacterial diseases, some of which are toxic. powdery mildew is not usually a serious problem, but its a sign that serious problems will be arriving soon if you dont fix the shit.
