Post NEW GROWER... Streched seedlings HELP

okay so i am still pretty new to growing i have 15 seedlings in my closet under 200w lights(about 1.5ft above them). they were meant to just stay there until they broke the soil and i would transplant them outside into 6.5 gallon pots for the remainder of the season. (i live in norcal btw) but due to an emergency they had to stay in my closet about 3 days longer than i anticipated. now because they were only under 200w lights and over a foot above them they began to stretch for the light... my question is that if i now bring them outside they will grow into those long stems naturally or should i replant them so that i cover some of the stem up? if not how long should i wait until i plant them into the 6.5 gallon pots?. also when i first bring them outside, should i leave them in the shade for the first day so they can get used to being outside? please heellpp!!! thank you

More lights. More lights, more lights. And use this rule of thumb for how close you can have the lights tothe plant.

If you put your hand under the bulb and wait till it starts to burn you, it will be too hot for your babies. 3-5" away max (if its a cfl)
