Hi guys,
just went to have a little change around in my room because a few of the girls are getting burnt due to being too close to the light and when i got to the back (which usually i cant see) i noticed some weird looking shapes coming out of my 3 week old buds on my ' Barneys-pineapple chunk '. straight away hermie popped into my head and i quickly checked the whole plant. theres is quite alot of them, although none seem to have opened.?? The thing that im curious about is that these are not balls as i have seen in pics on the net these are thin stick like things with a yellow color.?? I know this is not part of a bud so im goin to take it out now anyway and hope to hear from some of you guys in next couple hours to tell me what to do with her. here are some pics...IMG_1103.jpgIMG_1104.jpgIMG_1105.jpgIMG_1106.jpg
Many thanks in advance.

yea whatever you decide i'd do it sooner than later, unless you want a bunch of seeds with hermie genes residing within them

Are there other plants in the room or nearby?. If not, finish growing it out. Better to have seeded bud than none at all.

that hermie will get the rest of your girls prego if not removed...asap...if any one of those pods open you will have seed throughout your garden.

Reg seeds are no picnic either, just had 4 males out of 7 beans.

It a bad case of Herm, but it depends on your situation as to what you decide to do. Some plants will throw out complete male sacs, some throw out the nanners that come from within the male flower (what you are seeing). So this means that the individual calyxes are producing both male and female traits, instead of some herms, which have very seperate male and female parts.

Is it possible to tweazer these nanners out? (this needs to be done carefully) But can be done and you will still yield a reasonable amount of sensi providing you keep a good eye on it (it's not impossible).
Do you have a large amount of plants and are relying on it for $$ (probably best to ditch if this is the case)

Good luck and hope you get a nice smoke from whatever you do,

peace, DST

Something made it go hermie, say hes got more plants in that room that plant that hermied can pollenate the other plants if they have female flowers. Not that they will go hermie just they will produce seed, and seed that has genetics of a hermi. When you get regular seeds you dont know whats male or female,so you first have to veg and then place to 12/12 to tell whats what. Then you keep all your females and or males also. Then you flower your plants to distinguish your phenotypes, than you keep the best 1.Or all of them.Or if the weed sucks you trash that strain and or get some more seeds and try for different phenos. Its all a pain in the ass.

Thanks very much for all your advice guys, much appreciated.!!!! just finished off resorting my layout so that other girls dont burn anymore.! im very glad i got it out earlier as now reading your replies just confirmed what i didnt want to believe, just hope to god now that it hasn't spread pollen about in there cus the other 6 are looking good.! I only grow for personal use but this hermie is over 7ft and still very smelly and crystally and im finding really hard to just bin her so if can clear a space in another room gona try ' DST 's advice and tweaser all of the nanners off and see what happens. ..........Cant understand why this has hermie'd tho my temp is spot on,same for humidity, no signs of nute stress or any stress and check ph twice a day.?? could it be possible that it was always destined to be a hermie right from seed.?? if so why.? ..... thanks again guys.

There are a number of reasons why self-pollination occurs, some inherent to strains while others are stress related. It's a very long and complex topic. Do you have forced air heating in your home?. I do not(boiler and radiators), so I can get away with separating males etc. into other rooms if I had the desire...which I don't...lol. I ask b/c furnaces will spread pollen throughout the house unless you somehow completely seal off all the vents in that room. And then you have to put space heaters in there, not worth the effort if you have a furnace imho.
