ok no more food added to ground. other than foliar spraying your plant with anything recommended by a shop..preferably on the nitrogen side. 3-1-1...
grab a screwdriver and poke 10-15 holes around the plants root ball to loosen the soil and add some oxygen. don't cultivate, just probe some holes.. foliage feed spray according to the directions of what ever you use and water that ground at first signs of thirst. if you can clear around the plant a little she would like it. don't remove any leaves and theres always root lock from crazy soil ph, i doubt it....but if you have the means you could always grab a lil soil sample and test the ph.

Umm not too sure about the ratio the bottle didnt mention it except like this nitrogen in urea and all that shit which looked confusing. The fertilisers called Yates Thrives for flowering and Fruits so im guessing its good for my plant

Ahh nice to see a NZ grower, yea ill look for that stuff. My plant used to grow fast as but then it just stopped at this height, it happened when it was in a pot as well just stopped and the lower leaves started turning yellow and dying. Any ideas why ?
Oh and when do you harvest plants in nz ? (first grow)

Your plant stopped growing vertically because it became rootbound(as indicated by your seeing roots everywhere when you took it out of the pot). The reason its turning yellow is because your fertilizer is very low in nitrogen and it needs more of this nutrient. What you should do is dont give it any more fertilizer, go and get some growth phase fertilizer with a higher N ratio, something like 3-2-2 or close to that. Be very carefull not to burn your plant, if you have lots of fertilizer in there already go easy on the new stuff. Don't throw away your flowering fertilizers though, After the autumn equinox your plant will be getting enough dark hours to go into flower, Hopefully you have a female. If you start to see buds you can start to use your flowering fertilizer. Your plant wont need as much N anymore and unless you see this same problem starting up again during flower you should not need to use the growth phase fertilizer anymore. If you have a Sativa you will have to harvest early, if you have a fast flowering indica you may be able to let the plant become fully ready for harvest. Either way dont give the plant anymore fertilizer during the last part of flower(1 or 2 weeks) and during the last week before harvest dont water the plant.

Good luck, that should cover the basics
