| | They got out for some sunshine today and seem to like it. I took some pic's today and will post them later. As I said they all showed several different ailments so I took some photos of what is going on... I decided to label them so I don't get them mixed up, I think I'm going to attempt to clone them in the next week. I want to get the ph under control but in the pictures they look over watered and they were heavy while they were being carried so I don't want to flush again til they dry up.That would explain the drooping and yellowing of the new growth. As you look at the pictures you can see the problems, what causes, and how to correct explained in the link I posted the other day.
Props to those guys for taking the time to put all that info in one spot!!! UFC is on and my wife is calling so I'll post the pic's later.... |

| | I found this cool little chart while looking around, maybe it will help? Cannabis Nutrient And Deficiency Table To use the table just match up the plants symptoms with those on the table. Nutrients that are shaded Red are the problem. Find that nutrient in the text below the table for the remedy. SYMPTOMSNPKCaSMgFeMnBMbZnCuOver Fert.Yellow Upper LeavesNoNoNoNoYesNoYesNoNoNoNoNoNoYellow Middle LeavesNoNoNoNoNoNoNoNoNoYesNoNoNoYellow Lower LeavesYesYesYesNoNoYesNoNoNoNoNoNoNoRed StemsYesYesYesNoNoYesNoNoNoNoNoNoNoNecrosisNoNoYesNoNoYesNoYesYesNoNoYesNoSpotsNoNoNoNoNoNoNoYesNoNoNoNoNoGrowing Shoots DieNoNoNoNoNoNoNoNoYesNoNoNoNoWhite Leaf TipsNoNoNoNoNoYesNoNoNoNoYesNoNoStunted GrowthYesYesNoYesNoNoNoNoNoNoNoNoNoDeformed New GrowthNoYesNoNoNoNoNoNoNoNoNoNoNoYellow TipsNoNoNoNoNoNoNoNoNoNoNoNoYesTwisted GrowthNoNoNoNoNoNoNoNoYesNoNoNoNo NITROGEN (N)Pale plants, red stems, smaller growth. Rapid yellowing of lower leaves progressing up the plant. Add any chemical fertilizer containing N. Treated plants recover in about a week. PHOSPHORUS (P)Slow or stunted growth, red stems. Smaller leaves that are dark green. Lower leaves yellow and die. Add chemical fertilizer containing P. Affected leaves will not show recovery but new growth will apear normal. POTASSIUM (K)Affected plants are usually tallest and appear to be most vigorous. Necrotic spots form on lower leaves. Red stems. Leaves appear pale or yellow. Add chemical fertilizer containing K. CALCIUM (Ca)Lack of calcium in the soil results in the soil becoming too acid. This leads to Mg or Fe deficiency or very slow stunted growth. Treat by foliar feeding with one teaspoon of dolomatic lime per quart of water until condition improves. SULFER (S)Plants suffering from S definciencies exhibit yellowing of new growth. Mix one tablespoon of Epsom salts per gallon of water until condition improves. MAGNESIUM (Mg)Lower leaves yellow and may even turn white while veins remain dark green. Blades die and curl upward. IRON (Fe)Leaves on growing shoots turn pale and veins remain dark green. pH imbalances make iron insoluble. Foliar feed with chemical fertilizer containing Fe or rusty water. MANGANESE (Mn)Necrotic and yellow spots form on top leaves. Mn deficiency occurs when large amounts of Mg are present in the soil. Foliar feed with any chemical fertilizer containing Mn. BORON (B)Growing shoots turn grey or die. Growing shoots appear burnt. Treat with one teaspoon of Boric acid (sold as eyewash) per gallon of water. MOLYBDENUM (Mb)Yellowing of middle leaves. Foliar feed with chemical fertilizer containing Mb. ZINC (Zn)White areas form at leaf tips and between veins. Occurs in alkaline soils. Zn deficiency can be treated by burying galvanized nails in the soil. Chemical fertilizer containing Zn can also be used. OVER FERTILIZATIONCauses leaf tips to appear yellow or burnt. To correct soil should be flushed with three gallons of water per one gallon of soil. CANNABIS NUTRIENT TABLE |

| | It's snowing again outside so I'm going to leave the light on. No water again today, I broke up the first inch or so to let the moisture escape for all the plants last night and they still seem wet. I rotate the placement of the pots and rotate the plants at least once a day. The stems have gotten huskier and some of the yellow is greening on the two mutant plants. All of the plants had smaller than normal leaves that were very spindly. I found that one of the plants had started making normal looking leaves 3 days ago and today there are 4 plants that seem to have normal size leaves. They are still drooping and the new growth is still yellow and look small. I will ph water to 6 when I get ready to water, and no nutes this time.... |

| | I let them bask yesterday. No water again. I found that the yellow on most of the plants had started to green up so I had over watered them... I picked up the pots today and they were light and I had one plant starting to wilt. I accidentially bent the stem of that plant and have it proped up, that's the first clone sight I guess. The yellow on one plants new growth concerns me. The leaves are dark green, probably as a result of the nitrogen boost from the nutes last week. But the new growth is bright yellow..... It also has the purpleish red stems, but so do some of the others that look just fine so I don't know if that means anything or it's the plant.
I gave the plants equal parts from a gallon of water that was ph'd to 6. They continue to grow and look better every day. I will see how long it takes them to drink up this water and put them on a measured set schedule. I think they will get some sleep today as I kept them up all day yesterday trying to dry them out.
Any suggestions of what might be causing the yellowing?
The 2 mutant plants have greened up and taken off. I want to sex them so I can make a plan on what I'm going to do with them, but I can't leave the light off that long getting them that cold. I might get a heating pad to put under them, any thoughts?
If I get several males and only 1 or 2 females I might take the males and plant them in the wild just to see how they will react for future grows. I want to grow one female out doors, I could only imiagine how big these would bush out by september, october range
I plucked all the large yellow shade leaves near the bottem of the plants and most the damaged and mal formed leaves. Some of the new growth down low couldn't get the light it needed. I guess it's day by day.... |

| | I don't know. I have never done this before so as I was scrambling to save the seeds that sprouted, I went to an indoor grow shop in town. Although the guy looked cool and seemed to know what was going on, I told him I was dealing with tomatoes (I'm sure he knew as I had done some reasearch and had some pointed questions but said nothing illegal). He gave me the list of soil and nutes and a schedule for feeding. It was the ph kit that fucked me all up. I should have just got the meter....
I plan on giving them water until they use up the nutes in the soil. I'll keep pic's posted so if you check in and see something going on and I'm missing it please speak up.
I don't know what a plant stick is?..... | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
