    Ok, hi everyone,

    So for those of you that have seen some of my past posts, you'll know what a sorry state of affairs my first ever grow is.
    My timer broke so my lighting has been all over the shop, terrible. I cant control temps because I only decided to use a crappy small fan to cool the Magnum XXXL 600 watt dual HPS, and so the little girl has been frying as you can see.
    I started off with 7 seedlings, now I'm done to 1 amnesia, she is a tough old girl. This lady has had the crap kicked out of her, do you think she might have turned Hermy? Can I tell if she has turned hermy.
    I have just ordered a new timer an I have spent alot money on anline fane, an exractor and a big ass carbon filter, here it all is: http://www.progrow.co.uk/acatalog/info_05323.html
    It wont be here for a week though.
    So is there an immediate way to tell if she is hermy?

    No. Not unless you are flowering and have light leaks or disrupt the dark period. You cant make a plant hermie before the start of flowering and youve only got to avoid the 2 things i mentioned before when you do flower and you will be absolutely fine unless the plant ends up being a genetic hermie, which is something you cant do much about. You can tell when a plant has hermied by looking for male pollen sacks/bananas.

    If u change your light cycle to 12/12 then it will show sex by 1-2 weeks....But it depend on Height of your plant in veg.

    I'm worried about her going Hermy because as I mentioned my timer broke, last week I went out drinking and didn't switch the light on for 24 hours sometimes the lighting isn't regular either, and also the heat issue is worrying me.

    I think put a little Mg/Cal only for her ...U can c how much effect in 2-3 days so ... And very important that Do U check your water Ph right now ?

    I have a ph tester on the way. As for nutes, I cant get the specialized nutes that you guys all use, so I'm having to stick with stuff at the local garden centre, I'm using tomatorite if you have heard of it. Will my garden center sell Mag/Cal you think?, I've not actually started using any tomatorite yet, my girl is 20 days old now, do you think its time? Back onto the ph thing, I use bottled water and I only use water with a ph of 5.5-6.5.

    Also, the bottom leaves on her are brown and dead, should I remove them?

    Man if you can't get the right nutes your not going to allow the plant to its full potential. Something from garden centre will let the plant grow but i wouldn't think you will get much weight at the end. Also if you can't get the right nutes from your garden centre then there not much luck on them stocking calmag. Is there no way you could buy online and get it delivered?

    I could get some nutes mate, but I reckon I'm pushing my luck now, Im in the UK but a different part, and everything comes through customs, Im getting twitchy now, I had to go pick up my magnum hood, HPS bulb, growtent and loads of other shit, the look the Customs officer always give me says it all. I have to pick up a carbon filter and fans next week. Gonna pick nutes up with the title big bud and full bloom on the packet makes me more nervous, but I might just have to bite the bullet. I hope you realise how lucky all you's are by being able to walk into a hydro shop without any hassle.......
