Default Pot Drainage Problems
Hey, my week old seedling is living in the bottom of a used coca cola 2ltr bottle. It was cleaned out very well before planting. I cut drainage holes into the bottom. Now, around the drainage holes, there is a strange brown colored goo. Not very much of it, but its there. I should be re potting tomorrow as it is. Should i be worried about this?

Brown goo?

Not sure about that....I'd plan to stick with re potting.......has your
plant sprouted? It might not be able to take the stress of a re pot quite yet.......

When you DO decide to re pot, put a few small stones(larger for a larger pot) in the bottom of your pot to help with drainage. Also mix plenty of perlite in with your soil

Well....seeing as how they haven't sprouted...you might be able to get away with it and not hurt anything. And actually, it would probably be better to do it now if you really think there's a problem

Well maybe you should just wait then

Is it a think 'goo'? It might just be the color of the water at the holes from going through the soil...sometimes it can tint the water a little bit....

If it's a thick substance...I have no idea what to tell you.
