I would have said that, but what if it dies? Ok dude what you should do is, pick it when it......wait when the plant is budding, doesntt it take THC from the whole plant and use it on the buds?

1. pick it now and smoke it
2.wait til harvest time to pick and smoke
3. Wait to see if it starts wilting, then pick and smoke

Yes there is no option you can take to not smoke it. You must smoke the gift.

I've smoked tons of diformed leaves not bad at all in it's vega and or flowering stage smoke it let it dry first. Have fun with your gift. It wont hurt the plant if you snip it put a dab of water were it was snipped.
