Pistils turning brown

I don't know if this is supposed to happen but my plant is about 2-3 weeks into flowering and the pistils are starting to turn brown at the tips. Is it a deficiency or something?

This can be caused by a number of factors, especially if they are grown outside. Outside there are many things which can affect the health and appearrance of the pistils. Bugs crawling over them, foliar feeding them with a bit of a hot solution, dust, dirt and such can effect their health also. Unless they totally recede you should be alright, most plants go through stages where some die off and are replaced by new calyx. One other thing it could be but hopefully not and that is the the pistils received pollen and are reacting to that. Don't know enough about your grow to say much of anything else.
Welcome to RIU, I hope you find this site to be to your liking and helpful.

This is my first grow so I'm not the most knowledgeable.

As the replier above said. :) OR, how is your heat situation and how close are your lamps. My lamps were still close to my foliage when my pistals started forming and they started to burn at first from the lights. Moving them up a smidge fixed that.

I'm growing outside so I guess my heat situation depends on the sun. I am also using Iguana juice grow watering with it every other day. Also I water with molasses now and then and foliar feed with seaweed (BioBizz Alg-A-Mic).

I don't know if this matters but it dropped a few days ago because the wind was too strong that day and two branches broke almost completely off so I tied them up with some string.

If the problem you are seeing then is only on the branch which was split and the rest of the branch features are looking good then you have no problem at all. MJ is a remarkable plant in its' ability to heal itself and continue to grow as though nothing has happened to it. One point you mentioned is the use of molasses and seaweed. Too much molasses or seaweed can do this to the pistils, when foliar feeding which I do a couple of times a week, this can happen often. Unless you see damage to the leaves around the calyx showing damage you will be fine.
Growing outside you are going to encounter so many adversities for plant appearance, you will learn from quick glance what is bug, viral, def, or burn pretty easily but you will never grow a plant that stays as pretty as on grown indoors. Anyway this is what I have found to be true over the years.

it's happening to all buds not just the one that broke. I guess I'll lay off the seaweed and molasses for a bit a see if it gets better thanks.
