Just treat the soil every watering then, i use gnatoff which is a bacteria that kills larvae in 24hours, i cant get rid of my fungus gnats but they cause me no problems or damage to roots as the larvae are well taken care off, the adult flies i believe are harmless and dont do any damage to plants except lay more eggs and root eating larvae. peace
Will soap kill the little bastards as well ??? Ive got a soap spray with seaweed extract...

I believe the reason for soap is that it stops surface layer from forming and hence the breathing tubes of the larvae become contantly blocked and they die, or somthing like that, if you dont spray directly on them i dont think it is effective. I have only ever used Gnatoff being that it is a harmless bacteria unless you are a gnat larvaee. Im sure there are loads of methods but i only have experience with the one. others will be able to answer the question better. Peace

ooo i know what will kill any pest, tobacco juice/tea. add 2 swishers to a gallon of water and let it soak overnight then feed this to your plant... water it slowly so it soaks all the way through
