HELP - I Think I Have A Hermie Right Into Harvest..

I am growing a Blue Dream and Bubba Kush in a small tent, I am about 65 days from flipping the lights and am running about 30% amber pistils on both. This is my second grow so I am new to this but after a close inspection it appears I am getting small seed sacs on the lower growth of the Bubba, The buds themselves look quite good and are ready to harvest. Is there any downside to salvaging this crop? Should I harvest immediately or let them get to 100% amber which is what I was going for?

I cant see any sings of hermi from the pics, and I think you may be referring to the pistils as "amber" but its really the trichomes you want to look at and def dont want 100% amber trichs unless you dont want thc on your bud. The "seed sacks" your talking about swell when they are getting close to harvest.
This is what a hermi looks like

Good for you, if you take it to 100% and it is a hermie, then you'll have a shit ton of what may be some super chron blue dream/bubba kush and that means, FREE plants

What you should do is put baggies over the male flowers prior to them opening, to catch as much of the pollen as you can, and then take some of that pollen on a qtip and dab it on the lower buds, save you colas for sensimilla, and bam, free seeds, and a sweet crop.

Cool - I did mean trichomes not pistils, typo on my part. I am 99% sure it's a hermie since there is some visible seed development in the lower buds (still white and soft) but definately not typical bud. The Blue dream doesn't look affected at all. Not really worried about the seeds/pollen since 8" clones are available in my area for $5 so really not worth the trouble. My question is if I leave the plant to flower for say another week will my bud quality be degraded?

You sure you got seeds? Swollen calyxes are totally normal and a sign of maturity and harvest time. You want that!

I see swollen calxyes on the bottom right of the 2nd pic, with brown hairs coming out... you'd have to pinch one open to see if there's actually a seed in there.

So how many seeds you got? The damage is probably done at this point, you should bring the plant to maturity and smoke it. I'd look real hard for the culprit male flower(s) and if there are any not burst open remove them gently or get that plant away from the others.

It's possible you just got a few seeds and you'll never find that male flower that did the deed... happens to me all the time. Not much you can do.

Thanks for the help guys, last question - obviously I am going to clean the tent well after harvest but how long does the pollen stay active? Just don't want to risk pollination next time around..
