I referred to the Jorge Cervantes bible which I bought and I believe this is a nitrogen deficiency.

I'm using Advance Nutrients and looked on the website and can't figure out which nutrient to add for Nitrogen deficiency.

1st question confirm if this is Nitrogen deficiency?

2nd question If your familiar with Advance Nutrients what to add to treat?

They don't open for another couple hours.

Thanks

Just from what I can see there, it looks like you might have a Potassium def. Nitrogen typically will yellow the whole leaves.

I have been growing for a year and a half now and I have never treated for a mag deficiency or or any other deficiency. IF IN DOUBT FLUSH IT OUT. I know its not as cool as saying you treated a nute deficiency, it does solve the problem if in fact there is one to begin with. You are growing a weed that has grown for thousands of years without any help, you don't have to get a Doctorate to do it. VV

I'm new to this so forgive my ignorance.

When I flush the plant can I use tap water from a hose or do I need to use water from my RO?

How long do I flush them for?

After I flush should I flood the table right away or just let the system cycle like it normally would?

Thanks for the input!!!!!!!!!!!!:hump:

You were 100% right about flushing the system. I just spoke to Roy at AN and he said to flush the system for 2 watering cycles PH qadjusted RO water. I'm off to Home depot to pick up another res and I'll update tomorrow.

Flushed the system with 5.6 PH RO water at the 2PM feeding. The results were amazing. I wish I had my camera with me. As soon as the table started draining I could the green rushing through the viens of the plant. I was shocked at how quickly it happened. I didn't want to move to get my camera and miss it it was so fast. I believe I will do a fresh water flush every week before my res cleanings.

Such a simple solution "Fresh Water Flush"

When I described all the symptoms to Roy at AN he told me the plants had Nutrient lock. They specifically had a Magnesium deficiency.
Here's symptom which made Roy say it was a nutrient deficiency. He asked about the outer edges of the leaves and weather the edges are curling up which the were. I had already explained the yellowing and almost Leopard type look the leaves.

I must say Victor Vicious on the forum identified the problem and provided the right solution with just a couple photos. TOUCHE:blsmoke:

After I did the RO water flush the plants improved and after 2 water cycles I moved it back to the nutrient res. Well the plants were still having problems and I referred to the Indoor growing bible by JC.

We knew by the symptoms the problems were magnesium deficiency and he describes a simple procedure of spraying a 2% epson salt solution on the plants. I looked up on the internet to find out how to mix the solution. 20grams or .7 oz epson salt per liter of water. I mixed the solution and sprayed last night. There was an improvement this morning and by 12 today there was a real significant improvement. My plants are growing like weeds again.

Tonight will be 2 weeks into veg and the plants have 8 to 12 sets of leaves on them. I will be changing the res tonight and will update my grow report with lot of pics either tonight or tomorrow.
