ph of 8.5!!!

my 3 weeks olds suddenly stopped growing about a week ago and i couldn't figure out why. they started to look worse and worse until i got my ph tester yesterday and found out my tap water is 8.5! I flushed them with about a gallon each of water that i adjusted to about 6.5, (they are still in little pots).

Any ideas on how long it will take them to start growing again if at all?

Eh they may be stunted. PH is a bad problem if it gets to that point. It could lock out your nutes in general. I've only had PH problems once and I just flushed with ~4.5 water and babied them for a few days. It took them a bit to get back to "normal" but they should do fine.

What I'd do is give them some time. If nothing happens or they're getting worse, give them a good flush with lower ph water and test your run off. My run off sits at 6.4 with my plants now. PERFECT
