yellow leaves with dark spots is nitrogen deficiency. if the leaves are curling down it is likely you are overwatering. twisted leaves mean ph issues. spots on the leaves may be too much swing in ph.

I have a similar problem. Some of my leafs are curling .... Could I be over watering? This is my first attempt.
They aren't curling down they are curling up... they are curling out side in. Not tip to stem.
Should I slow down watering or start checking PH levels? BTW the color seems fine. I don't see any discoloring (not yet anyway)
Sorry to piggy back your post!

I had some curlings just like you describe and a bit of yellowing on the edges and i figered i was giving to much nutes now they are fine.............are they a little bit crispy too....mine were...........I had one plant that seemed to be on the extreme side over nute...........it curled down and leaves were wrinkily and crispy............but I would check your Ph of your water too......your water is bad like mine.....I just fill up gallons of purifeied water into milk jugs........25cent a gallon at my local gas station............but if your using nutes I would do half of what you were doing and see if that remidies the problem

Cool deal. I'll check the ph levels and I'm going to tone down the watering. I think I might have hit a plant or 2 with nutes when adding them so next time I'll be sure to just hold the leaves back to they don't get hit.
I use milk jugs as well. I let the water sit in them for at least 3 days before using the water in them.

Tested all my water that is waiting to be used and it had a PH of about 7.6 I knocked it down to 7.0 and was wondering if that is a decent level. I'm indoors if that matters... I'm between week 3 and 4. They actually look good other than that leaf curling... of course what do I know this is the first attempt.
I really have no idea where to set the PH level to. It will have been 3 days today since they last seen a drop of water. I have a meter that I can stick in the dirt and it will show dry, good, wet (noobie gauge lol)
Anyway everyone seems pretty cool around here so anything that might help is appreciated. I'm going to try and stick to the every 3 day deal that sounds pretty easy to go by.
They seem to be staying kind of short and bushy.... not sure if that is good or not. There is no stretching and the light is approx 12in from the tallest one.
sorry sort of getting off topic...
Thanks!
