6 seedlings 4 are looking good and 2 look horrible! they look sick and ill and look like they need to be thrown away.. any ideas?


growing under 400watt MH
25% humidity
temp in room 75
temp under light 85

using bottled distilled water. dont know the PH or anything.


should i toss them?? would like to know what it is to avoid this in the future

just a note, distilled water contains no trace minerals. So if you are not adding nutrients or have good soil it could be lacking some of those trace minerals....someone with more experience can expand on this.

it looks to me like the light is too close and they are getting burnt...i would use a smaller light for the first week or 2 to get the seeds started because they look very young..

use a few daylight CFLs until the've 5 SETS OF LEAVES, then put them under a 400w MH.

ya they are burning but not from the light but from that stupid gift wrap get rid of it u DONT want light constintly hiting the bottom of the leaves
