I have a 5 1/2 week old Mi5 auto by short stuff, I was hoping to have it ready for xmas, but the ways things are looking, I'll have to wait till next xmas. The height is only 1.5" tall, that's right 1.5", what's going on? I thought this would be at least 4 by now. The setup is as follows, x-stream aeroponic, ph 5.8, canna nutrients aqua a+b, ppm 900. Temp 25C, Humidity 45-50%, heatering the water at 23C, light 250w cfl at 2" above. This is my first grow, so would appreciate any help and advice to make this grow...

I think it may have been stressed into auto flowering as a plant that small dont need hardly any nutrients at all. I would let it go for as long as possible. It might kick back into veg.

whats your light schedule? if its 24/7 your not giving allowing it to use the light energy its storing up. it needs darkness to really do what it can. like a 18/6 to start. i would also suggest moving the light further away. i've noticed in my grows that having the light too close ( leds and cfls included ) the plants dont really want to grown like they should. and if you really want my opinion autoflowering is always a bad idea.

Thanks guys, The light schedule is 20/4 should I change this, I also have a normal none auto in the same area. I'll try moving it away further, but I think your right Haloman420, the high nuts must have stressed the auto out, I have read that high nutes for the auto can slow/stun the growth, so how long should I wait before doing anything to it, adding bloom or changing the light schedule? Also should I just feed it plain water from now on?

You should also look into getting more then 1 cfl. Get a nice mix of blue and red spectrum. 3 to 4 250 clfs for a few auto's will be ok. But one isn't cutting it man! Hey atleast you got your self a 2 inch killer! Some people don't even get 5 1/2 weeks into they're first grow! Once a auto is flowering you cant kick it back into veg. It's kinda like the shoot's been fire it's only time to see what it hits. Live and learn! It's still a nice single nug! Now just cure it right!

I dissagree with a couple posts. That light is plenty for one plant and the dude who said your auto flower might go back to veg obviously knows nothing about what he is tlking about. I think you just got a bad pheno.

Thanks guys, but I'm still not sure what I should do now, the bud is starting to smell really good, obviously won't get much out of it, should I just carry on feeding it less nutes, I have reduced this down to 600ppm, it's not a seedling by the way, its over 6 weeks old, I think I'll try growing these auto's in soil next time, hydro seems good, but a steep learning curve, also if you have a few plants you can mess up the whole batch in one go if your not carefull. So how long do I wait? and what would I do next as the next steps?

Get yourself a 30x magnifying glass look at the crystal, once they turn a nice milky brown it's time to cut it down, should only cost maybe 10 bucks or so. Just keep doing what your doing the little girl is looking good. It could have been a bad seed auto's are a little bit more unstable when it comes to growing vs. normal seeds. Next time if you can I'd do two if you want to keep it a small grow (no pun intended). It's just a little bit more of a added insurance in case one turns a he/she you still have one.

bigv, one light is ok, but you could always use a good spectrum of lights. In the photo it looks like he's running a high Kalvin. I'd at least throw in 1 lower Kalvin when she buds, more lights are always better if done right!

20/4 is fine.....but I agree it's a bit small for it's age. I grow in soil and autos are 90% of my grows....they are definitely more sensitive to ferts.....Having grown short stuff several times, I just didn't have luck with them......never figured out the "whys" of it.....Now growing some several lowlife and lowryder strains that are doing as the breeder advertised. Good luck with your grows...

Thanks guys, I read that once it has started showing sign of flowering it should be on bloom nutes, so I've started the mi5 on 1/4 strength bloom, see how it goes, also I suspect that the high nutes to start with has caused it to be stunted on growth these autos are sensitive to nutes, live and learn...

IM HERE BRO! I'LL SAVE YOU! lol no i dont have any experience with hydro systems, BUT my display picture is actually "Mi5".. i purchased 5 feminized and grew one of them along with a freebie seed "Snowryder" to get to the point quick i would continue running the light 20/4 and try to give it some flowering nutes, also put a 2700k CFL in there if you can right close to it.

It was also my first grow, I grew it in a soiless mix called "pro-mix HP" and fed it these nutrients> www.dutchnutrientformula.com and followed the chart provided.

I made a few mistakes of course like not putting it in a bigger pot, didnt have the best reflective lighting, etc. etc. but i was still pretty happy with both of them.

The Mi5 harvested almost 7 grams & the Snowryder harvested close to 6 grams. My friend brot his Snowryder over that hermied and actually polinated my Mi5 just a tiny bit, enough that it produced 2 perfect seeds:) i couldnt believe it! The smoke was good but i think i actually like the Snowryder better, but i also believe i harvested a week early, they probly could have gone 10 weeks, i think i started flushed at 8 and harvested at 9. The Snowryder was somwhat comparible in height to what the website said but not yeild (probly my own fault of course just saying) and the Mi5 wasn't close to neither yeild nor height as to what the website said. And they started flowering on time around week 3 like suspected so i can say i was pretty pleased either way:clap::lol: Here are some pics of the Mi5 only just for you bro lol. They are in no particular order but i'll make sure the last one is definetly of one just before i took it down. (oh and by the way i trimmed fan leaves during flower cuz i was dumb, but it stilled worked out, for future knowledge i learnt from someone on here to trim fan leaves first on the 21st day of flower, then once more on the 45th day of flower, it makes sense to me anyways, others may argue differently)

Wow Gibbslt89, Thanks bro, your Mi5 look totally different, mine is only coming up to 2" high. I've started to increase the bloom to 1/2 strength, do you think I should put it to full, as I heard that some strains love it and some don't. Can you give me a timeline as to when to start the nutes and the strengths i.e. week 2 - veg - 1/4 strength, week 4 - 1/2 bloom etc, so I know for next time. From the looks of it I'll only get 1g if I'm lucky, I'll put a pic of her later today, the pistill are starting to get brown on the top, also I've add an extra 2700 cfl about an 1" away from it. Appreciate the advice, let me know what you think..

ho ho ho merry xmas, why the hell ru using a fluro to head an auto dwarf. these plants finish hard and heavy for their size but only under hps, pref 1000w.
under a fluro thats what youll get , a couple of joints. The rest of set up looks good though.

Fluro is just fine, you can get more the a few joints off fluro. I'll pull a oz dry or more off a plant using fluro. Their not auto though, this little girl just didnt have all the cards to grow. He's only growing under 1 fluro which is a good reason why it's so small not enough lumes and light spectrum. Most people don't use 1000w hps because it cost to much for a set up plus you need the space. You could use a 400w hps and still get great results!

Hold off on the nutes bro for a watering or two. Your tips are starting to get burnt on the bottom,

Here's my A.I under CFL'S. Like I said you can grow just fine under CFL'S there's no need to good to the bigger H.P.S to grow. It's would be great but if you don't want to spend the money you can get a nice grow.
