i have three females that are farther along than some others. They are all starting to loose the top pistols that grow on the tip of the bud. I have pics included that show some of the other buds that seem normal and fluffy. Do you think my 600hps is to close at two feet away or could it be the 9-59-8 fert i started feeding not to long ago? Any ideas, please help these should be the best bud! they have been budding for about two weeks and this just atarted happening and i have no idea how to fix it?

2 feet away seems far enough for a 600. Have you done the hand check? Put your hand just above the canopy under the light....if you can hold your hand there in comfort...your buds will find it comfortable as well.

The first two pics don't show much to me...but the other two show signs of nute burn. The tips of the small fan leaves look burnt. I would give your plants straight water for a couple of feedings...then slowly increase food back into the regime. This being said without knowing what you are growing in.

9-59-8 seems like a booster to me more than a base nute. Do you have a normal flowering nute? Just use a basic flowering nute after you have fed plain ph'ed water for awhile.

i have been doing water twice and this fert once then back to water twice. i am seeing nice fluffy buds where the light is less intence and shriveled hairless buds on the top of some buds

i keep my 600's about one foot away at all times no burn occilating fan running on high over the canopy at all times i cant see any burn on your plants

if it was the nutes the whole plant should be affected. And 2 feet is too far for your light more maximum growth. Try adding a glass shield to your reflector and venting it out. This will allow max light penetration but wont burn your ladies

Your reflector may have some hot spots...what kind are you using?

That's incorrect. Nute burn effects the very top fan leaves first on the very tip. It's something you learn when you have been growing for awhile and you need to learn to read your plants...not just feed what the bottle says or what some dude on a canna board says.

2 feet is not too far away...it depends on your footprint. Putting in a sheet of glass will lessen the light output. Just lowering the light abit without losing light to the outside plants and having a fan blow across the top of the canopy is much more effective.

i do have a fan blowing and a glass shild, the plants seem to have nute burn and i think Jack is right. I watered plain water .................................................. ......................................
.......but i must say the plant may show signs of nute burn on newest growth all over the plant, sometimes on the top first and the other new groth after. I can say it may have been slight nute burn. I just wonder then why they look as if they may be a bit starved? This is my first grow so it looks good, just room for improvment. I tied the bottom growth to the pots and the buds are growing like mad now that they get more light!!!!

I have a glass shield but my light is a 600 hps hydro farm in a 2.5x5x7.5 ft room, My journal has better pics i think!
