Alright, i thought it was a defic. the ppms were in the low 600's, 3rd week of veg. The ppms were going down daily, so i gave them more nutes, 850, and they are still drinking. However, the def is not being resolved.

I use dyna grow. ph is stable 5.8, temp is 77, humidity 50 percent, plenty of air flow.

Using ebb and grow system.

What does this look like?

dynagrow grow formula

the only thing i can think of.. is the system flooded a week back, the water started pouring out of teh buckets, so the little rockwool cube was soaked in nutrtient water, could that make that big of a difference?

ALso, the problem got worse even when the ppms were in the low 600's, and the ppms go down each time i check, even when the ppms are at 850

yes i think that could make a difference.. especially since your girls are fairly young, they are very sensitive and soaking the entire rockwool cube is the equivalent of drowning them in nutes. try feeding with only DI water for a while. i actually am a soil grower myself so i don't know much about ppms, but the soaked rockwool cubes is def a red flag.

To me that looks like an honest Magnesium deficiency. Finally!!! I've been searching for a good example for a while. Mg deficiency and nutrient burn look VERY similar.

From what I can tell it looks like Magnesium and Potassium are being locked out. This could be the result of too much Calcium in the solution. Each of these elements competes, electrically, for uptake by the roots (osmosis). If you add a nutrient that has a 3:1 Calcium to Magnesium ratio and you have too much Calcium in your water to begin this can cause the same problem. Likewise, too much Potassium would also cause similar symptoms.

What's your water situation like?

Well I'm using dynagro, it's a one part nute mix. What should I do?

Right now I'm flushing with flora klean and then I was gonna try running my 3 part gh nutes at a lower ppm, like 500

Dude... Did you miss this?

I caught that you're using DynaGro brand. What I need to get an idea of is how much Calcium we are dealing with here.

My suggestion is to flush out the media and try to include a magnesium supplement in the future. Organicare Huvega or Humboldt Nutrients Sea Mag would be my first choices for this role.

Then again, if it is just hard water then all you need is a filter, and flushing with that tap water could do more harm than good. Hell, the right Brita filter would remove quite a bit of that calcium if that is indeed the problem.

So let us know what the deal is with the H2O situation and we can move forward from there.

my water is at 120 ppm's, I am not sure how to find out exactly what is in my water. I understand though what your saying, thanks.

120ppms is reasonable, but about twice the ppm's of my own water. It's under 150ppm though so it isn't bad water.

Flush her, add some Magnesium, probably resolve any future problems.
