Default Plant tops turning sideways
I think I have a problem with my plants. The tops of a few of them have become extremely flimsy, not to where they flop around, but I can kinda reposition the top, and it stays in the position, like a bendy straw, but a couple hours later, it goes back to sideways. At the same time, the leaves seem to be trying to get the tops of the leaves to point towards the ground, and the bottom toward the lamps. There are also small yellow spots appearing on some of the lower leaves.

Hx: 2 65 watt CFL flood lights on 24x7
1 gallon containers
e b stone organic potting soil
suffered an Mg deficiency about 3 weeks after germ
about 5 weeks old now
feeding a mixture of 10-0-0 and 10-15-10 plant food once a week diluted to about half strength (fertilized twice now)

I think that's it.

First picture you can see the top of the plant bending towards the left. The second picture is showing one of the leaves trying to rotate over. And the third picture is to show my good plant to prove that I'm not a completely incompetent retard. Thanks for any help.

looks like they are really stretching towards the light - can you bring the light closer/add more lights maybe?

Actually, there were a couple dull spots under the lights from the fixtures, and I put the weaker plants in the dull spots and the stronger plants in the lighter spots. This was one of the weaker plants. But the lights are raised to a point now where it is getting a lot more light. You should be able to see in the third picture. That plant is directly under a light.

i couldn't really tell. If the lights aren't the problem, I will leave it to soil growers to troubleshoot.

Actually, now that you mention it. This happened after I raised the lights to 12+ inches, and now the lights evenly hit all the plants. Could the sudden increase in light intensity cause the plants to strain away from the light?

doubtful - they usually strain towards the light even if it burns them. I don't really know what the problem might be and am hesitant to give advice that may make matters worse. the only think i'll say is when soil-growers have problems they usually flush their soil. but again, i'd wait for the soil growers to offer insight - they may have experience with this.

i changed my lighting arrangements last night and went this morning to check on them and im having the same problem. I had the old set up with the tops about 2 inches from the light and now about a foot away so im betting they are stretching toward the light. seems logical being i just did this last night and this is happening. good luck.
