really weird ballast i know. so heres the part that goes from the ballast to the wall and heres the part that goes from the ballast to the mogul lamp if i just take that ballast to socket from first pic and cut both ends off and make a long extention cord out of it ill be fine as long as it can carry the amps?

alright so like I said you can cut either one of them cords to make it longer, but I DO NOT recommend making the mogul cord longer than 15' you should modify the cord that plugs to the wall insteed

thanks man thats what ill do. as soon as i get paid friday im gonna do that and buy a cool hood or just fabricate and weld one together since im a shipfitter and all. i could probbably make one in about 3 hours tops that is acually air tight but then i would have to get a pane of glass... or just buy one for 56 bucks on ebay hmm i wonder if i could buy one and cut the "s" off the mogul part and put my three pronged attachment on it from pic 2.
