Exclamation Help save my plants! Please!

Alright first off I want to thank you for clicking on my post. Here is my problem. I am an amateur grower. These are my first plants. I've read the Cannibible and a few other growing faqs but can't seem to solve my problem. I'm positive that over watering is one of the problems. I dilute 20 -20 -20 fertilizer to half the amount. I just transfered them into larger pots cause stress from a pot to small could have been the problem. I've tried just about everything but a flush. Is this the next thing I need to do? Any advice is appreciated greatly! I'm attaching a few close up pictures of the leaves. It's hard to notice but the very tips of all the leaves are dead leaf brown color. The inside of the leaf is dark and as you move outward it gets lighter. Can anyone explain the the lines of the dead leaf color throughout the leafs?

my guess would be to flush. it never hurts to flush every 3 weeks or so anyway. Then add something like Cal/Mag to the diet...looks like a cal mg def. to me, or it could even be some sort of pH problem but a good flush and some feed with cal mag would probably do the job. I believe you can use epsom salts if you can't get Cal Mag, check the forums for amount of epsom salt.

Ok another thing is what kind of soil? Does it have feed in it already? It could also be nute burn, we need more info.

I would say that look likes nute burn. Do you have a ph tester? If you want to be sure you can but a ph tester. You can buy one at lowes for like 10 bucks. People say some where round the mid 6's is good. Mines like at 7 something and they are doing fine.

Default my 2 cents worth

If you have a 50% nutreint mix, and water every couple of days with it, it is too much. I mix at 20 percent and water with it. Nutrient is supposed to be used every 5th to 10th waterings. Not everytime, unless you dilute it way back.

Also, I had two strains of plants, at equal stages of development. So I mixed a 50 percent mixture and water all my plants. I came back in a few hours and one strain was DOA. Nothing could be done to save those plants. So, different strains need different nuteint mix ratios. And the directions on the box are designed to sell more nuteint, not save your plants.

I recommend three or four heavy waterings with 6ph. I do not like cheap ph meters. I use a common swimming pool tester from Lowes. It has two vials of reagent. It will tell you when you get to 6.0. I use about a cap-full of white vinegar to a gal of water to go down from 7 to 6. Also, a swimming pool tester costs about $9. Cheap, cheap!

Let us know what happens.

Thank you everyone for the information! The soil I have is a miracle grow potting mix 14-14-14. I've been using a 20-20-20 fertilizer and diluting it to 50% the dosage. I ran a flush and def notice a chemical smell to the water coming out. The flush finished with a nice neutral water running through it I also purchased some epsom salt and added that in. I mixed a half teaspoon with a quart of water and only added a little from that to the plants. Is this an ok mixture? As for the ph I will find out tomorrow and post it when I purchase a ph tester. Thanks again for helping!
