Seriously though... I have algae all over my hydroton. Anybody have any tips to get rid of it? I just need to clean the clay balls without destroying them. I have a way to make sure the algae doesnt grow back, but I need to rid myself of it first.

Thanks for any tips and tricks that follow.

i have algae on my rockwool, i think it has to do with the liught and wetness of it, i hearfd its not too big of a problem

Well... I know its not a huge problem. And I can prevent it, but I just want thoroughly clean my balls.. the clay ones, I mean... never mind.

It can be a big problem i can kil your plants given the chance,

LIght + water + nutrients = algae

The roots system can't do without water and nutes, so take away the light, cover it over
