Hey im new to this site and i needed some help with a problem that just recently got . I have a 1 foot Outdoor weed plant 1 month old in a 3gallon bucket, i water it once every morning(small amount), and it gets sunlight from 8 to about 3. i have recently noticed that the top new leaves are curling upwards and the outside of the leaves are a blackish brown color, the bottom leaves are also starting to turn yellow. Oh and to me the leaves on the plant look flakey. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

A better way to water would be to water the plant thoroughly, until you get a good amount flowing out of the holes on the bottom. Like really water the plant. Then dont water the plant until the soil is dry a few inches down, and the pot feels light. Plants do not like getting water every day; the roots arent given adequate time to breathe and search for water.

ok so what your saying is i should water less frequently but just with larger amounts of water?

Ahh... that's unfortunate. Since your soil has added ferts in it, watering heavily like I suggested will only release more of those ferts; not good. You have a picture of the leaves?

No the pics are not up! Re post them, it sounds to me it may be to much heat outside, take them out of direct sunlight until they look better

the damage is done.. them leaves are done + MG soil damn.. all u can hope for is for new healthy growth .. try putting it a shaded spot.. and when u water u want atleast 5-10% run off.. that ensures that the whole plant got equal water

hey dude!

if you ask me. i think it kinda looks like magnesium defficiency because of the leaves curling up and as they say praying for magnesium. also the bottom leaves turning yellow thats another sign on mg defficiancy, but its also a sighn for alot of defficencys.

but to be honest dude to me it looks like mg. just go get some epsom salt from a chemist or supermarket (you might want to call them first just in case)and add a 1/2 to 1 tps of the salt to a gallon of water. or you can use dolomite lime. not to sure how to use that because i never have. otherwise id let you no.

also i think you should stop watering every morning. just water throughly till you see it draining from the bottom (just a tad) then leave for it to dry out for a couple of days then do it again. that way you wont have the worry of root rot or over watering. trust me its alot better.

hope that helps dude, happy growing

peace
