It should be just fine! Lots of people go the miracle grow way!

Just start off your seeds (germinate) in moist paper towels placed inside a ziploc bag.

Once you see a 1/4 inch sprout, you can plant em in the soil about 5mm beneath the soil, root pointing down (some people go up, I just drop the seed in. The less you fiddle with it, the safer it will be).

Cover loosely with soil, and water to set in place. Be stingy with the water!

The plant should crack the surface in a day or two.

It can then go under fluorescents for the first phase of growth!

the problems people experience with MG are due to the time release ferts it has in it.

flushing usually doesnt help either as it generally releases more ferts.

you probably wont have to add any nutes for veg .

keep the soil on the drier side and you should be ok.

maybe a bit more research into soils is needed next time.

there are people on RIU that have good experience with MG but they tend to be vet's that know what they are doing.

MG is a fine soil except quality control really sux and it will most likely have lice in it which won't hurt your plants but who wants a bunch of jumping bugs in their soil?
