Pictures would be good, but you're probably fine as long as the leaves look healthy. Bushy plants are good!

IMO if the leaves look ok and the plant is stable, just give it time. I started from seed a few months ago, at first I thought they were too 'twiggy' but then under HPS they just took their time and got stocky. Now, under 12/12 they are absolutely perfect,and climbing to the roof. I know everyone's different, but you have to let them grow on their own,(as much as possible).
