If ypur using one of those probe meters?ditch it, me using one of those almost killed my plants because it was showing everything to be ok when in fact they were in lock out. Until you can get a decent meter if possible just use distilled water. Then you know your using a neutral ph solution.
You'll need to get a meter as soon as possible though cause you'll need it when you feed. It was suggested to me by an experienced grower on this site to get a liquid ph tester and check water prior to watering and then check run off ph to make sure they are with in a certain range. Trust me its def worth the investment

Some examples of Home remedies to raise/lower pH are as follows:
    1.Lemon juice. 1/4 tbsp can bring a gallon of tap-water from 7.4 to 6.3.
2.Phosphoric acid. lowers pH and provides Phosphor too!
    3.Nitric acid. lowers pH.
4.Hydrochloric acid. strongest way to lower pH
5.Hydrated lime. flush soil with a teaspoon per gallon of water to raise pH.
6.Baking Soda. eats acids to raise pH.
7.Calcium carbonate. raises pH (very strong)
    8.Potassium silicate. raises pH.

You can also use Liquid Silicon, I strongly recommend this stuff if you have access to it.

hardwood ash will raise pH and is a fantastic potassium source. careful it is very strong... a bit goes a long way.

And if all those fail, buy a bottle of ph up and ph down
when you buy the digital ph meter.
If you have access to a ph meter, you'll have access to the ph up and down.
Without the meter, you're just guessing anyway.

To control ph.. If your growing in soil...

just mix some finely granulated Dolomite Lime into your soil and it will keep your ph in control throughout your whole grow.

    Keep it simple.

There's your answer to your prob.
