Default Plants have narrow stems and need support

My three indoor plants in 3" pots are 7" tall. The stems are VERY narrow and the plants need support. I assume the problem is due to insufficient light. The plants are in a "sunny" window, but it hasn't been sunny here for over a week.

What can I do now to fix this problem?

Can I transplant the plants into larger pots and put them deeper into the soil so that the narrow stems are underground? Will this solve the problem, assuming the plants now get enought light? Will new roots form from these buried stems, or will this process kill the plants. If I can plant them deeper, how much deeper? Up to the cotyledon leaves?

I recently added artificial light. When the weather gets warmer, I plan to transplant them outdoors.

I had something similar going on and was told to just replant it down to the first set of leaves. Worked out great.

Mine was from not enough light and too high up which caused the stretching I suppose.

its definitely a light problem, there isn't sufficient light from the widow ledge alone. so you need to get some CFLs or florescent tubes around 6500K and keep them on 18/6, until your ready to put them outside then im sure they'll do fine...

    what strains are you growing?

    Good luck
