run off is the color of the water that drains through the bottom of your containers.

...what? ...really? ...you've got research? ...in what? ..."let me tell ya", pH balance is the single most important thing about growing, and is usually the first thing someone learns. "let me tell ya"

Let me tell you something I dont need any advice from you and i know ph is one of the most important things but I have not forked over hundreds on a ph tester so I figured purified water and rain water would do just fine so get the fu*K out of here Gangster wannabe

i did my first 2 grows (sucsessful) with out testing my PH. then i started putting a cap full of distilled vinegar in my purified water. it did help since vinegar is acidic. then i went to a fish store and bought a ph test kit for like $6. it wasnt great but it helped till i finally forked over $55 for a real digital tester.

It is not compressed hardly at all It s actually sorta loose. It is made up of 60% pine bark fines, 20% hardwood bark pines, charcoal granules, sandy loam top soil, perlite, and compost
