I cant figure out whats going on with my kids. Now they are starting to bend and the tips are turning yellow and are shriveling in.

I dont have any fertilizer except for the stuff that came with the soil.
The water here is pretty close to neutral.
I have 3 26w Daylight CFLs 2 inches away
And a fan to cool the lights and to vent air out.

PS. Has anyone seen a plant grow in threes? There are 3 spear head leaves and 3 fan leaves ... I always thought they grow in pairs

another three leafer. cool. do you have drainage in your cup?

Yeah both of them have holes at the bottom

i would say it was heat then. but i could be wrong. you can add a little soil as they stretch to help support the stem.

Thats what I was worried about. I dont have a thermometer yet, and It does seem a little warm. Any way to cool down the heat? I have a big plastic box.

I didnt think I was to bad at that. I usually wait until the soil is dry. I use the finger method.

What kind of soil did you use? Back the lights off looks burned to me also..

I used a mix of this stuff I found at the local grocery store. It already had perlite, and worm castings, and pre-mix in it ... I know miracle grow isn't a big hit here, but I just picked up a small bottle, haven't added it yet.
