Hey everybody well this is my first grow i started with 8 bag seed plants i am now down to 2 ( both female of coarce =D ) well anyway my problem is one of my plants it is also the shorter one, is drooping verrryyy much, and the bottom leaves are yellowing and dieing, can anyone help me diagnost the problem? its regular soil and i feed them mollaasass and water every other week, and strait water everyother week.

Also on my other plant i want to clone it asap, and i was wondering were/if i could cut it to make the clone, or is it just too small thanks!!

BTW both have been on 12/12 from seed and have around a month or so untill harvest.

First 3 pics are of the yellowing/drooping plant, 4-5 plant is the one i want to take the clone from if possible

Agree, needs more than molasses for nutes. Disagree about tap water, alot of tap and well water is VERY acceptable for growing. And if you, the newbie grower thinks you only have a month to harvest, you need to do some more homework bro. Many of us are willing to help, but you still have some learning to do on your own. Study up a bit, get a better knowledge of what you are doing then give me a shout, would be glad to help. For now though I think you should do a bit more research. Cloning at the beginning, first 2 weeks of 12/12 is ok. Anytime after that is possible, but takes skill and patients. Get the growing down first, then think about cloning. Best of luck dude. HIT THOSE BOOKS, POST, JOURNALS, THREADS ECT...... You will get the hang of it.:weed:

so it doesent to be getting any better, when i transplanted it it seemed to have very little roots. could that be the cause?

How long have they been under 12/12 for? Personally I think you might have done more harm by switching it back to 18/6. Talk about a shocker...

Don't freak out and change it back now...lets get more info.

How long ago did you plant the seed?
How long DID you have it under 18/6 orig.?
How long has it been under 12/12?
What kind of light is it under?
What kind of soil is it in?
How often have you been watering it?

This is why the Veg. stage of the grow is VERY important, it is all about letting your root structure grow and get strong enough to support a plant full of buds. Not only physically strong enough to hold it up, but most importantly, has the means to absorb nutrients and distribute them to the rest of the plant/leaves/nugs when you go into flower. The plant can ONLY grow as much as the roots can support. Weak roots= weak plant.

When did you transplant....This stresses the plant and will probably stunt all growth for a week or so.

transfer to a real larger pot using pre mixed moisture control soil sooner than later. MirGrow Soil or Neptunes soil should be fine. The plant looks nowhere near ready to flower for my taste I would have had lights on a 20/4 schedule for another month or so, but to each his own.

yes i have a few plants inthis is the only one doing bad, i transplatted two days ago and also switched lights to 18/6 two days ago, the other plant is going great still( its yellowing at the tips but i think i just over nuted it) but as for the questioms:

How long ago did you plant the seed? 5 weeks ago
How long DID you have it under 18/6 orig.? zero 12/12 from seed
How long has it been under 12/12? 5 weeks
What kind of light is it under? 8 23watt cfls (6 27k and 2 5k)
What kind of soil is it in? now it is regular soil with perlite (50/50)
How often have you been watering it? about ever 4 days

thanks for helping me diagnose this problem +rep

12\12 from seed = minimum roots= minimum buds. You can do it, but all you'll need is a party cup to grow in.

That is your main problem - If you are growing from seed and you want a plant worth growing you need to veg the thing. Vegging should anywhere from 16/8-24/0 of light. This veg process should be done until the plant matures (at LEAST a month, if not 2 months under the veg light schedule). After its mature, you can flip the switch to 12/12 and then teh flower process starts for roughly another 2 months.

Clones can be put into 12/12 right away and still be a good plant, but thats not your case. Veg, veg, veg, thats what you NEED to do to get roots. Also during the veg process you will be feeding your plant veg nutes (not until the seedling is at LEAST 2 weeks old) every other watering. Make sure your soil dries out a little bit between waterings. If you keep the soil too moist you will get root rot and the roots will be weak. I like to let the soil get a little on the dry side before i water, it lets the roots "search" for water and nutes. But thats a fine line you learn with experience. When I had baby clones, I would only have to water like once a week...under flouro lights.

Another word of advise is make sure not to stress the plant too much/too often. If you transplant/change light schedule/clip leaves....all this stresses the plant and it will stop growing for a few days. If i messed up on my nutes on one of my plants, i might not SEE the visible signs of nute burn on the leaves for a week...soil plants take a little while to absorb and show signs. The best advise I ever got (being a new grower myself) is that this thing is literally a WEED... they are extremely strong, and durable plants. Take your time diagnosing problems, and dont try to fix it today and expect results tomorrow. Your "Fix" might not show for a week or two. most people will think that didnt work and then go and make a new nute mixture and try the next day. This is wrong. Be patient, try one thing, and wait. then try another. Good thing about soil is if you mess up, flush the thing good and more times than not, you'll be ok.

May the force be with you

Thanks for listening to me rant.

the reason i started with 12/12 was because it was sopose to be a micro grow, then i foulf a 4ft tall steath spot( thats where they are now) for now on im vegging my plants for around 6weeks of untill its 1/3-1/2 of the space in my box. ill let the soil dry a bit its still preety wet and i watered 2 days ago so ill be watching it. at least now i know for my babys that have just sprouted

Yeah man. It can still be micro. Even if you only get 2-4 weeks. Look up info on low stress training and you can keep em really short.
