Thread: 3 week old plant but having a problem

what could be causing this? it was going good until a few days ago the bottom leaves are turning yellow
is this common?

im running 4 cfls with scotts premium potting soil and 24hr light.
what should i do?

prob needs more water dont fert yet

Is it bad if there's some fertilizer already in the soil? Whatever was mixed in the bag? And how much should I water it?

it does look a bit like nute burn buddy, check ur soil to see whats in it( npk) mite needa little flush then leave for a bit b4 u water again.

What soil should I get and how do I flush it? Is it gonna survive or you think it will die?

You should get soil for seedlings or a really light soil with no nutes in it, and then transplant it into the soil with nutes in it when you're ready.
To flush a plant is to take 3x the amount of water that that you would normally water you plant with just keep pouring the water in and let it run out the bottem holes in the pot until you used up the 3x amount of (just) water.
Your plant won't die, it's not that sever of burn but it don't help it.

Could the the problem I'm having be from not havin a drain hole in the pot I'm using?

yes sir, you have to have drainage hole in the container bottom. i don't start feeding until about 2 weeks. if you started that in pre-ferted soil, then that'll cause problems. i'd x-plant to a better container and use some other medium.
