Start by lowering your water levels. You should have a 2 inch or so airspace between the bottom of the pots and tdhe water level.
Thanks for the replies guys, I am going to reduce the water level of my tank right now, Also are both tanks over nuted or only one? What level do you recommend?
18 gal totes usually use about 7 gals of water to maintain a proper level. But to be sure just have about a 2 inch space between the water level and the bottom of the net pots. The bubbles from the airstones will keep the hydroton nicely moist even with the air space. As for as the nute issue goes. Maybe just give the system some phed water for a few days at the proper level then go from there. It is way easier to recover from under feeding than over feeding.
And I just noticed your pong cups are clear blue. The roots may have gotta a bit light pruned. Clear cups are a good idea so you can watch the roots grow. But always put the clear cup inside of another cup that is not clear. Keeps the light away from the roots. Then all you have to do is lift the inner cup to check on root growth.

The roots look very healthy in the cup, it is gone down to the bottom and has started filling the bottom of the cup, but it isnt growing up, just down!
