Fan leaves turning yellow then falling off. Arjan's # 1

I grow the haze 3 whitch is different and smaller than the haze 1... i grow in a cabinet 36" x 19" and 6 feet tall in dirt and with a 600 in a air cooled and i use GH flora nova series stuff whitch is their organic stuff today i just harvested the cab with 3 plants and the biggest manicured cola was about 12 inches long and wieghed 60 grams wet ... i dont think flora is the organic flora nova 1 part is ... try a magnifiing glass or eye piece .....

Hey BeachBum, Ya i read the same thing on there website this morning. So do you think i should flush for a full two weeks because it isn't organic? im using an autopot system. about your cab, Im moving my setup into a small cupboard, 20x35x57, with a 600 watt hps. First off do you think, with the right extraction, heat will be a problem? ive got a 150 but i think its just to small to put in there and i might as well use a 600 if ive got it.
im going to give an eyepiece a try.

Anytime you put a light that big in a confined space you will have heat problems unless you have a sealed and vented reflector.

I dont have a sealed reflector but i do have a reli big extraction fan. Do you think i should rather just put the 150 in?

I have 3 cabs all the same size ...i get doulble metal lockers from the used office sup place .... my 1 cab with the haze has a 600 hps but it has a cool tube reflector with not 1 but 2 inline furnace booster fans 6" also 3 ventilation fans in the cab and the cab is in a cool basement location my other cab has 400 hps with a air cooled reflector with 2 inline fans 1 to let air into cab near the bottom and the other blowing air out of the cab through the reflector and it works great the other cab has a light board i made with 12 27watt soft white cfl's and 2 inline booster fans 6" 1 to let ait in and 1 to blow air out it doesnt get as good results as the other 2 but its not to bad as im waiting for a new 400 light to arrive .... i live where its cold u live where its hot ... i would try the 150 with some 27 watt cfl's to supliment... im goin to try a picture thingy now of the #3 i just took out

But that's exactly the problem here I think. Switching to 'bloom' nutes with low N values and high P and K will do this to most plants. I had a similar yellowing and falling of lower leaves 6 weeks in and a fellow grower suggested i switch back to my veg nutes. I thought i would try it on 3 plants and left the other 2 on the bloom nutes. By harvest time the 2 had almost no lower half of it's leaves left and yielded ok. The 3 with more nitrogen still had most of their leaves, were healthy and their calyx's were swolen and more trichs..
Keep in mind this was in our growing conditions, not yours, each garden to it's own me thinks..

thanks TCK, I've started flushing already so not sure if i should start giving them veg nutes again or just leave it? im harvesting in just over a week anyway.

that was a very good article it's 5 o clock somewhere, green house seed company.com?? i also have fan leaves dieing fast and my guess was the plant using the nitrogen and them dieing off or that plants just know what they want and kill them off to get light down below. i have a flood and drain hydro system so i imagine it doesnt take long ( which it hasnt .. only 3rd week flowering) for the plant to use up all the N because im not giving it any.. my fan leaves are steadily dieing off since the first week of flowering. I was scared they were sick so i flushed them alot hoping they would get better. this is why i registered with this website but now i have a sense of relief thanks guys and vlokdog

Hey DaivsCCS, try post some pictures. Maybe these guys can help you sort out the problem like they helped me
