hello riu members,

i have a problem with my 2 snow white plants they are 2 1/2 weeks from seed and all is well apart from some brown spots developing on the lower leaves they are on 1/4 strength nutes. although i have found alot of post with some of the same problems i still cant put my finger on what the problem is. as this is my first grow i am becoming a little concerned now.. the plants look other wise healthy and they are growing well........

if any1 can help me i would much appreciate it.

here are some pics of both plants and there affected leaves.

thankyou very much....

Its fungus or algae related, whether its root rot, an algae or a leaf blight depends on where the moisture was building up. If u were overwaterring I would lean towards rot or algae, but algae is usually visible (hides under pots and in reservoirs).. Losts of fungi this year also so humid conditions or leaf surface getting wet (i.e. foilar spraying)or damp will inoculate the plant if fungus is near by. If a leaf fungus, it wont get much worse if u keep humidity low and start a fungicide treatment (Serenade, Daconil, or a 1% h2o2 solution drenched over the plants works wonders). If it is rot, it's in early stages and I had great success with Hygrozyme, alternated with h2o2 treatments, w/o even changing the reservoir.

Crank up the nutes, if im certain about one thing its that the nutes can be jacked up. I'd be running 1400 ppm under HID lighting. If under floros, 1000 ppm will do..
