I had to bend one of my plants due to height restrictions. After a horizontal bend I thought I would save the plant some work (stupid..yes) and tried to bend the tip up about 4" from the main cola...and I felt it snap. It appears OK and I straightened it out and it seems to be holding the weight of the cola horizontally...did I fuck up? Will it stunt it or kill it? I have heard of doing this when training but I'm pretty far along and have some nice buds working...Am I fucked???

I think it will. Shock from snapping the stem, and then healing will probably divert energy from flowering. I would tie the main cola to a stick above the break so it can heal properly.I dont know if you can do anything about tying it down anymore until it heals.

Did the stem under the bud break? Or did it visibly just snap? All you can do it try your best to keep the weight supported and tape up the stem and hope it gets better. The rest of your plant will still be fine ofc.

that sucks...that is a good idea about using string to help hold the weight.

as long as it didnt completely come off just tie it up so that the break seals and this will divert almost all of your plants energy to heal it. she should be right in a few days to a week. hopefully this healing process wont cause too much stress, i dont think it will, but keep tabs on her and check on her more often to make sure there is very little stress.

Thanks for your feed back. No Kookie, it didn't physically break at all, I just felt it snap. It was already horizontal and I was trying to bend the top up a bit. Now it is back the way it was...horizontal...you can't tell by looking at it that anything happened, and it's holding the weiht of the cola without a problem...I am so pissed at myself!!!!!!!!!!!! I had to fiddle fuck around w/ it!

these plants are a lot tougher than we give them credit for...we just hate to do anything to disrupt our babies

Thanks for all your assistance...I made a "band-aid" out of masking tape and it seems to be working fine...I really had a hard time even figuring out where I damaged it!!! hopefully it will have a speedy recovery!

Who knows this might even benefit you. Accidental super cropping isnt always a bad thing.
