I got up this morning to find this little black bug, about the size of the end of a ball point pen, on the main trunk of this plant. It moved in a jerky motion and was fast! It's the only one I have seen and spent a good 30 minutes turning leaves trying to find more of them or their eggs. No luck. The plant is in week 2 of flowering and has just started to show it's sex. I need some advice as how to prevent them eating this plant to death like they did to my house plant. The plant is prolific, too much canopy to use sprays effectively. Any advice is greatly appreciated! I'll try to find a corpse from the bastards who ate my other plant and post it.
Thanks |

I don't think so, the ones I have caught don't have long back legs and they don't jump, they just run away and avoid me. I don't have any pets of any kind, either. There is visible damage to some of the younger leafs, some one has been feeding on the foliage between the veins.

That depends on too much to give a definite answer, but you should always have the assumption that yes it could reproduce.
Go with your gut, if you think the bug was just a roaming around and stumbled upon your garden, wait it out a couple days. How clean is your set up? Is your garden completely enclosed? Does your garden have a direct connection outside? There's a lot to consider. You could get some sticky fly paper to help identify the pest. In my opinion, when your dealing with bugs its best to assume the worst, and hope for the best. |

My set up is SUPER CLEAN!!! Enclosed, and away from outside contact. No vents or holes to any other area. I am OCD when it comes to cleanliness! It is a soil less grow btw. What worries me is that if one bug was roaming and found it, how many more are going to before I can harvest in the next 6-7 weeks. And in the worst case if I have an infestation that gets progressively worse over the next week or so, what am I going to do when harvest time does come? I don't wanna smoke bugs or chemicals, know what I mean?

Really need some pics lol. Any pics would help. Im confused is this an outdoor grow? You said something along the lines of bugs ate your indoor grow so im assuming this is outdoor. Outdoor hydro? What color and how big is the damage done to the leaves?
