Default Can you diagnose this problem?
This is my first clone and everything was going great until I transplanted into a 3 gallon pot. Here's a little background. Soil grow, three week old fem clone, under 24 hour fluoro for 2 weeks now. This clone started out OK, rooted in a jiffy cube in one week, then I transferred to a small container with seed starting mix. The leaves yellowed a bit at first, but I figured out that was because it was pushing roots. When I was ready to transplant to the final 3 gallon bucket it looked great. About 2 days after transplant, the clone started to look a little light green. About three days after that I started to notice a blackish substance on some of the older leaves. I have let it go without water for a few days thinking it could be root rot, but it has only gotten worse. Does anyone know what this is and how I can reverse it befor I lose my first clone. Oh yah, the soil is miracle grow and before anyone says "there's yer problem", it is the same soil the mother is growing in without a care in the world. I will post a couple of pics. Thanks.

I would hate to say this but its the soil. The mg soil you just planted it in has nutes in it. Those plants are nute burned.

Yea, its past the stage of the yellow leaf caused by producing roots.
You say the mother grows fine in MG. OK then it will just be a few weeks for it to get used to it.

I have seen nute burn before and it didn't look like this, it started at the tip. Also, when I transplanted the mother the same way, i didn't see this. In fact after a day or two it exploded. Cruzer, do you think it will survive a few more weeks or should I switch soil now?

I know growers on here that use MG and they get buds. Not great harvests but they get buds. Some growers or wanna be growers purchase Scotts instead of MG. They should know they are getting the exact same thing. MG makes Scotts.

Anyway if you ask me its too hot. I would go get some non nuted potting soil or dirt from the yard and remove the plant and soil keeping soil around the cuttings roots intact to prevent shock, put in a 50/50 mix, then place the cutting back in and fill with the same. give it a good water then again in three days. I would give it a week or so before I would expect to see any change.

Check and see if you got time release MG. If you did then you should know every time yopu water you release nutes. So you see, flushing is not always a great idea.

Its winter now, keep your rootzone warm. like 70°

It just looks like they are a little shocked from the transplant. I'd give them straight water for the next watering cycle. They'll straighten out eventually, this is fairly common.

Don't let it dry out. Maybe postpone normal watering a day or so, as this might be a good diagnoses, but it really looks more like shock than over water.
When the plant is over watered it looks like this, but the leaves will be much more droopy.

it is always a good idea to let them dry out in soil before watering. (i dont mean bone dry , i just mean right before bone dry.)
i am not automatically assuming this is overwatering , just said it looks like the first signs of it.
