Hi all,

Please have a look at the pic below...she is 5 weeks in to flower, under a 400 w HPS, was about 2 inches away from the light but I moved the light up, I am leaning towards bleaching from the leaves being too close to the light but it could be N def...what do you think?

your plants look lush m8 dont worrry, if they are a 8 week strain it is usual to show yellowing in the leaves about now. give em some of ya grow nutes wit ya bloom nutes if ya worried about it , wat strain is she,


as 4 the lights 2" is a bit close lol 10" is better but it doesnt look like its harmed ya plants at all, ya buds hairs wud be scorched if it were close enuff to bleach leaves

She is a cut from a GREAT DP strawberry cough pheno, the guy I got it from told me its 8 weeks but I know of others who have gotten fully ripened buds starting around 6 weeks from the same cut.

I knew the light was too close, lol but I figured if it was cool enough for my hand then it was cool enough for the girls.

Well that may be true but usually the yellow leaf starts lower.
Your light was too close. I have a 400 and tried several distances with a cool tube.
Yea, I bleached some buds and ruined them for smoke (made hash) but I found the optimum distance. eight inches.

Thanks cruzer, I have seen that chart before but always figured that was more for heat not light intensity, appreciate the reply.

No man, Intensity too, mine was cool to the touch but fried the buds.

I raised my light up to 8 inches, hopefully I will see some green return.

Probably not much green will return to the leaf but at least you wont fry the top buds like I did.
