Default Please help....need diagnosis (pics)
I have two plants of different strains showing the same problem. Both are young plants. Shown is a picture of one plant symptoms are tips of leaves dying (which i have cut off)...and yellowing around borders of leaves. leaves die from the tips and work inwards. New growth is affected almost immediately, one to two days at most. The soil mix i used is said to be hot. not exactly sure if this is causing the problem. i used majority steer manure and chicken manure..other ingredients include perlite, vermiculite and sphagnum peat moss. i have been feeding with a low dose of organic fertilizer.

i veg with cfl's plants are one inch away..i dont think this is light burn.

room temp is 70-80 degrees...i don't think it is temperature related.

i am not over watering....although i may be under fertilizing. how much fertilizer do you think a plant needs at this age?

would this soil mix be high in nutrients already? possibly this is nutrient burn? i have been real easy on the nutrients. only fed twice in a couple weeks.

More than likely there is too much nutrient in the soil, plants that size can survive in soiless mixes with just water, let alone steer manure and chicken manure and a low dose of organic fertilizer...

suggest you flush with RO water or storebought pH'd to 6.0 and let the soil dry out. The steer manure and chicken manure is slow release fertilizer, that is activated and released when you water your plants.
