If someone could help me out please. My plants are a couple of weeks into flowering and some of the leaves are dark green and new leaves are coming out curled down. I had miracle grow shake and feed in in about a month ago, and I'm guessing that my plants are over fertilized. I have taken out as much as I could see and trying to flush the plants. Please take a look at the photo and tell me what you think.

I know I messed up with the shake n' feed, but it's my first grow, and better I make mistakes with regular seeds that with white widow. Can someone take a look at my pic and please confirm or not on my over fertilization hunch.

if your using shake and feed then every time you water your activating it(feeding the plants)
i dont see any nuteburn, but if not yet....you probably will...id repot without MG shake and feed and get some different nutes heres a link....http://www.amsterdammarijuanaseedban...buse.html#root |

Dark green foilage that curls under like that, usually accompanied by rapid growth that's weak (stems are frail) all indicate Nitrogen OD. |

That's what I figured. I have those damn shake n feed pellets in the soil. The plant is too big to re-pot it (about 3 feet tall). I figure the only thing to do is water as much as possible to flush these pellets.

Things curl when they get DRY. Dry is lack of moisture. Lack of moisture comes from: Not Watering=your'e not THAT stoned Nute burn=too much fert or nute lock If a plant doesn't take up the nitrogen in the soil well in 5-6 days that is a LOT of N in the soil cause we tend to keep feeding them Bugs=specifically spider mites They SUCK the juice out of the leaves Those pictures made me think MITES. BTW mites show all sorts of crazy symptoms because basically mites result in deficient: N, P, K, micronutes, you name it. Have a REAL good look at the underside of your leaves |

It's not bugs or moisture problems of any sort. IT'S TOO MUCH NITROGEN. Experience is the best teacher here and I had this little problem with my last grow, you can search for the post.
Best indicators of N-OD: - Dark green leaves - New growth is thin (leaves and usually stems) - New growth is severely curled, often looks like a claw or canoe. Old(er) growth is too, but not usually as bad, just depends on how long it's been ODing I don't know if flushing is the answer here, since watering unleashes the nutrients. It would be my usual suggestion if that weren't the case. I've never used nutes like that so hopefully someone with some experience there knows what to do. |
